Alicia Gauer leads communications for The Lubrizol Corporation, a $6+ billion specialty chemical company serving a variety of industries globally. In this role, Alicia is accountable for communications that inform, inspire and engage the company’s 8,800 employees, as well as communications that protect and propel the company’s differentiated value to external stakeholders. Alicia manages a global team responsible for branding, PR, social media, internal communications, operations communications, web, ecommerce and customer relationship platforms.
Prior to Lubrizol, Alicia led communications for GE Lighting, overseeing the business’ communications over a multi-year transformation, managing a team driving PR, community affairs and internal communications. During her time at GE, Alicia also managed global communications for Current, powered by GE, a first-of-its-kind energy start-up within GE’s walls, overseeing PR, media and social media. She also held a variety of communications roles at GE supporting commercial, operations and employee communications.
In addition, Alicia has managed communications and PR for clients across industries in agency leadership roles at AKHIA and Landau Public Relations. Alicia started her career as a television reporter at KRCG, a CBS affiliate in Missouri’s state capital, honing her unique storytelling skills.
Alicia earned a Bachelor of Science in journalism from Kent State University.
