Darlene J. Thompson, PhD is an industrial and organizational psychologist with a passion for leadership development and team effectiveness. She has dedicated her career to helping leaders and organizations unlock their full potential and achieve breakthrough successes. In this pursuit, she leverages scientifically backed cross disciplinary approaches and best practices. Active listening, curiosity, and leading with empathy are equally important to Darlene’s work and mission.
Currently, Darlene is a Senior Talent Manager, SVP at KeyBank, where she partners with senior leaders to create and implement talent management strategies aligned with current and future business imperatives. Prior to her role at KeyBank, Darlene held various global leadership roles within human resources, talent management, and organizational development at Goodyear Tire and Rubber and Parker Hannifin. Darlene holds a PhD in psychology from the University of Akron, where she focused on leadership development, feedback, and self-awareness. She has presented on these and other topics in professional conferences and has publications focused on feedback. Outside of work, Darlene is an avid gardener and orchidist.
