Sandra Madison, AIA, in March of 2016 became CEO & Chairperson of RPMI and today leads the firm she has dedicated 29 years to its success. During Sandra’s tenure, RPMI has had significant roles on an array of signature projects including the Karamu House, Downtown Hilton Hotel, Cleveland Convention Center, Jack Casino, Ahuja Medical Office Building, GCRTA Euclid Corridor Health Line, Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Browns Stadium, Global Cardiovascular Innovations Center, GCRTA Waterfront Line, Cleveland Public Library Main Branch Historic Restoration, Quicken Loans Arena, Great Lakes Science Center, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. Sandra’s service and dedication to Cleveland has not gone unnoticed, as she was recognized for the 2018 Progressive Woman Award, President’s Council Business Chamber Excellence Award, as a 2018 Smart Business Honoree, as the top CEO by Crain’s Cleveland Business in 2017 and a top FBE by the OhioMBE Awards 2017. She graduated from the University of Maryland-College Park School of Architecture and attended Harvard University Graduate School of Design’s Career Discovery Program for Urban Design. . Her professional affiliations include the American Institute of Architects where she serves on the Women In Architecture Committee and the AIA Outreach Council, the Shaker Heights Architectural Review Board where she has served for over 12 years and also serves on the Shaker Public Art Committee and the Architecture Construction and Engineering (ACE) Mentorship Board. She has past affiliations with Kent State University where she served as an adjunct professor for the Environments for Aging Class and a juror for Architectural Design studio. She also has shown service to the community by speaking on several panels, to elementary and high school students as well as having served on the Mount Pleasant Design Review Advisory Board in Cleveland and as a Friend of the Shaker School Foundation.
